I enjoyed talking to you & think you’re doing a really great thing. I was interested in your “community” as you were describing it to me so I finally go to check your site out. It’s a really nice, polished site. You’re doing a great service & the way the economy is dumping, you should try to get some national press & cookie cut your organization liked you talked about at the convention. Now is the time. You’ve got the spirit, a great unique concept, & you obviously have the organizational skill too pull it off. A rare combo. Best of luck to you.

Crystal’s commentary on the Daily Tidings article: OurNexChange
| By Sharon Miranda | December 6, 2008 |
The country is a-buzz with talk of money…what is it? and who controls it?
Can we create our own currency to insulate the shock of another “financial crisis”?
Public interest in complementary currencies is increasing rapidly.
I am pleased to see the Daily Tiding’s piece recent on the emerging OurNexChange system.
At the bottom of the online article you can see the responses people have left. Clearly, some meaningful conversation is needed to educate people who are feeling, in general, fear and mistrust in relation to money.
Below are the guidelines for submitting an opinion piece. I encourage you, a select group of informed citizens, to contribute a letter to the editor sometime in this next week regarding complementary currencies. This is a great opportunity for public to receive a variety of constructive, illuminating perspectives around this emerging field.
Also, if anybody knows someone who was involved with the Ashland Skills Bank back in the 80s, I’d like to talk with them, please get us in touch. And if you do have an LTE published, please email me to let me know so I can share it with others!
thank you each for your brilliant contributions to the common good!
~Crystal

Announcing the Exchange Technology
| By | November 17, 2008 |
Dear Fellow Community and Business Members!
A momentous step towards Community of Choice has just been taken. I just signed the contract and made the first deposit for the best online currency exchange system to be found in the world! With this system, we can all now fulfill our potential resulting from the partnership between the New WebSpirit Community , YOU and OurNexChange, a Company of Community, YOU !
OurNexChange is our community, business and organization exchange model, developed by myself with assistant developer, Libby VanWyhe. It will be a Community Company organization belonging to its members and partnering with us as the model keepers.
We offer you a Community model that will integrate an alternative currency exchange system that will be self-sustaining, stable and powerful!
Advisors and experts across the world have stated their belief that our model provides the key elements of success; trust among ourselves, strong principles, and sound organizational and financial formulas; all for the sake of longevity, economic balance, community and business cohesiveness.
Now, after a great deal of time and effort, we have finally found the technology to run it.
What you will discover about this model:
- A step into creating our own economic empowerment
- Enhancement of Personal Welfare
- Business expansion and support
- Increased support for Local organizations and groups
- Support for returning to our community intelligence and heart
- A vehicle to organize your various community models
- Empowerment for individuals and local groups
To be able to tell so many of you at once, that the decision to step forward has finally been made, means more to me that I can possibly express. So many of you have shown up, have given your supportive energy and vote of confidence. You have let me know of your quality. And this system relies on that !
What I have learned from this community over these years, and especially lately while developing this model, is that we are ready for this step! If not for you, I would not have considered risking my resources to this extent. No community model can succeed without the people that are self-cultivated to make it work!
You are ready to become the prototype for the world ! A Community of Choice !
Take a look at the introductory website: http://ournexchange.com/
Watch for ongoing news on the WebSpirit Community site
We are setting up ways to learn more from you too !
And please read our WEBSPIRIT announcements, as they always contain something important related to regional community development.
We need your energy, your attention, your creativity, your eagerness. We are developing a Company of Community !
Yours truly,
Sharon Miranda

Affirming letter from President of International Reciprocal Trade Association
| By Sharon Miranda | October 31, 2008 |
Dear Sharon,
After our resent discussions and in response to your request I have reviewed your developmental plan to expand and enhance your locally based community service program by installing an official exchange system for community members, business owners and local organizations. This approach has the potential to significantly increase local business revenues, personal welfare, and involvement in community related programs.
Because your network has provided worthwhile social services to Ashland and the surrounding areas for a number of years you have gained experience, built relationships and secured the trust of local community leaders.
In my view you are perfectly positioned to succeed in making this valuable program part of the social infrastructure of your community.
Warmest regards
David Wallach, President
IRTA Global Board of Directors
